Invitation to International Forum on “Access to Public Data and Privacy Protection”
Tbilisi, Georgia, February 4–5, 2026
The Personal Data Protection Officers Association of Georgia (PDPOA), in collaboration with the European
Federation of Data Protection Officers (EFDPO) and East European University, will host an International Forum
“Access to Public Data and Privacy Protection”
The event will take place on February 4–5, 2026, at the East European University, Tbilisi, Georgia, and will be held
in a hybrid format to accommodate both in-person and remote participants.
This two-day forum will bring together leading experts, policymakers, academics, and data protection professionals
from across Europe and Georgia to explore the evolving relationship between transparency and privacy in democratic
societies. The program will feature thematic panels on:
Comparative data protection regulations and practices
DPO designation and conflict of interest
International data transfers
Certification and training programs for DPOs
Integration of DPOs in AI and cybersecurity frameworks
We are honored to welcome the representatives of EFDPO member organizations from every Country. Your
contributions will be invaluable in fostering cross-border dialogue and advancing shared standards in Data Privacy.
Logistics and Hospitality:
Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in English and Georgian.
Transportation and other logistical support will be arranged.
Meals and refreshments during the event are included.
A welcome dinner will be hosted in honor of all international guests.
PDPOA Georgia will cover accommodation (including breakfast) for invited guests representing each EFDPO
member association. Rooms have been reserved at the Golden Tulip Design Tbilisi Hotel. Special rates will be
available (in the same Hotel) for other participants not nominated by EFDPO member associations.
